Telstra Ventures is an independent venture capital fund since its carve-out from Telstra Corporation in 2018. Already in its second decade in venture capital Telstra Ventures has three funds under its management having invested over $550M in 80+ companies and currently $850M+ assets under management.
The $350M Telstra Ventures Fund III will be used to invest in pre-growth and early growth companies across a variety of industries such as Cloud, Cybersecurity and Consumers as well as other fast-growing software and digital sectors with Series A and Series B as sweet spot and average ticket sizes of $10M. Through its unique Revenue Bearing Relationships program for each of their investments, Telstra Ventures has successfully found a way to introduce its portfolio companies into its large network of global enterprises and channels to market, thereby generating real market and product intelligence which leads to real revenue events that are highly relevant for Telco’s. To date Telstra Ventures has already driven $400M in revenue to its portfolio companies.
